IBM announces collaboration with Quellia

Quoting Ricardo Martinho – IBM Portugal Country General Manager “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Quellia, a Portuguese company that is pioneering the monitoring of the voluntary carbon market and which I believe will revolutionize the sector.

Through our AI technologies and the expertise of our IBM Consulting professionals, IBM is helping to develop an innovative platform that promises to transform the digital monitoring, verification and reporting of carbon credits, promoting sustainability and trust. Quellia’s innovative platform, dMRV, uses the IBM Environmental Intelligent Suite (EIS) to remotely monitor the above-ground biomass of forests and vegetation using satellite images that feed geospatial models developed by IBM.

Based on IBM Cloud, it makes it possible to establish a secure, transparent and reliable ecosystem for managing programs and projects with a view to producing and certifying carbon units.

Special thanks to Quellia’s Chairman, Filipe Vila Nova and Sustainability Director, Manuel Pereira and the entire IBM team involved in this project.”
